Cycling on Terschelling

Terschelling is a true cyclist's paradise, featuring 70 kilometers of bike paths that wind through forests, dunes, and along the Wadden Sea.

No matter what type of bike you need, you're likely to find it through our trusted partner, Zeelen. If you wish, Zeelen can have the bicycles you reserved ready for you at the West-Terschelling port and can arrange for your luggage to be transported to the holiday park during office hours.

When you depart, you can either leave the bicycles at our park or return them to the rental company. For boats departing from 12:30 pm onwards, luggage service can be arranged in consultation with the reception, but it is only available in combination with bike rental.

Our wide selection of holiday homes and bungalows in two parks offers the perfect base for exploring this beautiful island. We have accommodations ranging from holiday houses to hotel apartments, suitable for 2 to 8 people, with bike parking available near your holiday home. Terschelling is an ideal destination for a cycling holiday for both young and old.

If you’re bringing your own (electric) bicycle, please note that they cannot be taken on the express service but can be transported on the ferry service provided by Rederij Doeksen. The most scenic route to holiday park De Riesen takes you through the forest of West-Terschelling and past the Duinmeertje van Hee, where the park is located. For holiday homes De Fuik and Kijkduin, cycle to ‘de Geitenwei’ in Midsland-North. For holiday park Tjermelân, follow the Waddendijk or Hoofdweg, which passes through various villages, until just before Oosterend. Be sure to check out the local mountain bike routes as well.
