History Terschelling Recreatie
Holiday Park De Riesen is centrally located in the town of Hee, between Midsland and West-Terschelling. Where the bungalows are built, the cattle from the Hek-family farm used to walk. A pasture surrounded by trees. Riesen is the name for creeping willow on Terschelling. During the sixties the farmers decided to welcome campers. Where the Tjermelân bungalows stand, the cows from the Bakker-family used to walk. Sometime around the 1950’s, when tourism began to pick up, the farmers decided to welcome guests during the summer months. The guests slept in the hay and brought happiness. Personal attention to our guests on an island that is precious to us.
